Sailboat Paintings from Yinchao Art Studio
Chinese American painter Yinchao has painted boats all his life: from traditional bangcas in fishing villages in China to sampans in Southeast Asia; from cargo ships of thousands of tonnage in world’s major harbors to now all types of sailboats in America. The artist, born and raised in Shanghai, which literally means Onto The Sea, is destined to love and paint boats and seascapes throughout his life.
Having traveled to some of America’s most scenic marinas, the artist has filled the canvases with racing dinghies, rapid sharpies, lone catboats, anchored cape islanders, brightly colorful ketches, stylish sloops, elegant yawls and even bigger and majestic schooners. Paintings?backdrops also vary greatly. One scene is set in a realistic realm of tempestuous seas, while another has settings of a quiet bay, unaccidentally characteristic of oriental Yijing, an artistic, romantic, or philosophical subspace created in the audience’s mind’s eye.
Here you are cordially invited to browse some of his recent oil and acrylic works on sailboats.
